Default No subtitles on VMR-9

My subtitles are not shown when I enable VMR-9 rendering. They are loaded, because BSPlayer says it loaded then, but are shown. When I switch to Overlay rendering (with the same subtitles) everything is OK.

Why do I need VMR-9? Because on my 9700pro radeon (with the latest drivers) it's the only way I can increase the brightness (on Overlay the Colors controls are just not working).

Are you talking about TV-out? Or? If you're using overlay, you can increase brightness in the Overlay tab of Radeon Control Panel - that doesn't work on TV - in this case, increase brightness in Color tab of Radeon Control Panel. I know, it's stupid that one can't separately change color/brightness/contrast preferences for different displays.

I'm not talking about TV-out feature.
I know I can modify the brightness in the control panel but the option will also change the brightness in the games (not in all games), which I don't want.
Honestly, I don't know why "HW" Colors controls in BSPlayer don't work on ATI, when I had a Nvidia everything worked ok. And other players (like Crystal Player) can change the brightness, contrast etc.
