serious decrease in performance of bsplayer1.0rc1

on my p3-500 i played a movie (1400mb) using v1.0rc1 and after 30sec the video was already 2sec behind of the audio :(

however, the same movie with v0.86 played perfectly... :)

is there a fix or should there be a new option is bsplayer v1.0 >rc1, so that you can choose between the old & new video engines...
