AV1 support 2 Attachment(s) Seems that AV1 it's gaining popularity so I wanted to test a little. Latest build of LAVfilters should support AV1 decoding so I've downloaded some samples. Unfortunately, BSPlayer doesn't seem to understand such files. MPC-HC plays the file, some stuttering VLC open the file, play the first5 secs before image and stops Greatest surprise, graphedit (2002 software) find the right way and manage to play the file with no problems. So, where couid be the problem in BSPlayer |
AV1 is/will be supported in new player. It will be beautiful, i tell you. |
Problem solved by uninstalling AC3Filter. Nice, isn't it ? |

Windows 10, bsplayer version 2.78, LAV Video Dec. 0.72 Quote:
Windows 10, bsplayer version 2.78, LAV Video Dec. 0.72 and cannot be updated to higher - Codec manager downloads 0.72 automatically. https://i.postimg.cc/zvWhQsQq/Screen...6-12-37-01.png As I see yours is version 0.76. Any suggestions to resolve this? |
You can uninstall LAV Filters locally installed by BSPlayer via codecmanager. After, go to https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases download and do a System install of LAV Filters downloaded from the link. BSPlayer should recognize the system install and use it as default. 0.73 version is the first with AV1 support |
Worked like magic. Thank you. ;) |
Hi, after I updated LAV filters this way (to version 0.78) BSplayer stopped loading subtitles in MKV files. MKV files usually have multiple subtitles for multiple languages but under subtitle selection (right click->Subtitles->Primary) it shows only one subtitle as "Undertermined" and BSplayer actually renders nothing. Have any ideas, please? what BSplayer shows: https://i.imgur.com/XRM3S7I.png all that MKV file contains: https://i.imgur.com/UUB3nSo.png |
Hi, had a little time to do some tests. Like installing v0.72 LAV filters through codec manager and then replacing the files with v0.78 files. And stuff.. Nothing worked. Interesting thing I noticed: v0.72 codecs installed through codec manager works just fine, but when i install v0.72 codes manually through .exe installer then it does not work.... |
