Image distortion Hello to all I'm using bsplayer to play AVI and mpeg fils but with a movie i have a problem, the image is distorded, with the windows media player i don't have this problem but that's a little boring cause this one does not support subtile file. Thanks by advance for your help. the image : http://gallean.gilthonir.free.fr/strange.jpg so the strangest is that i have this problem only on one movie, the others are okay, and this movie is perfecly working with others players |
Can you tell us what codec is used to encode the movie, and what codec is used to decode the file ? (using GSpot or avicodec) |
Maybe an XVid encoded AVI? If so you should either set DivX (if 5.1.1.) "Quality setting" to "Support Generic Mpeg-4" (through [Start] > Programms > DivX > DivX Codec > Decoder Configuration Utility .... or you should download/install a more recent version of XVid codec. See adocoto's post here. (P.S. For GSpot or Avicodec look under item 2 of my Help to Help post (link hereunder)) |
no that's a mpeg file, a trailer found on the net so for the enncoding i don't know... for information the trailer is batman dead end my installed codec are divx 5.1.1 pro version divx 3.11 (i think i will later uninstall this one) The latest Xvid version |
Yes, I have seen this kind of distorsion on MPEG2 files, but only on CD. Never on HDD. But, try a different MPEG 2 codec. If you use Elecard, try to change to InterVIdeo. See what is happening. How does it look if you open it with VirtualDubMPEG2 or VirtualDubMod ? |
i tryed other players and don't have this kind of problems, sure that is strange...Problem with other players are they are not taking srt files... |
