Subtitles greyed out when I'm not an admin

Hi!
Everything works fine when I'm logged on XP as an admin, but if I'm logged on as just a regular user, then I can't load any subtitles whatsoever!

It just ignores any attempt to load them and when I right click the movie, I can see that the subtitles submenu is greyed out.

So how come as an admin I have no problems with subtitles?

What do the subtitles desire so bad that only admin rights can provide?
