Long load time for big playlists

I've been running BSPlayer on a PII 750 mhz laptop in my car, and when I open a playlist with about 3000 entries in it, it takes a *long* time (at least a couple of minutes) for BSPlayer to assimilate the list, and start playing the mp3's.

I mention this merely because I'm a recent convert from WinAmp, and WinAmp didn't have this lag at all.
