I can't adjust the Brightness, Contrast, etc.

I had BSplayer before and it worked amazingly. I recently formatted my HD and just reinstalled BSplayer. For some reason I can't adjust the brightness, contrast, etc., in the preferences menu. Here's a .jpg of what I see in the preferences menu. Notice how the video properties are GREY and unselectable.

Open a video file->options->filters and you have the properties there.
