i find bsplayer stops working every few weeks. i have to delete the .XML file in the directory to reset all the settings. in fact i have had such problems for a couple years so now i keep a backup of a working .XML with all my settings in it.
when bsplayer decides to be uncooperative i delete the current .XML and copy the backup .XML over it.
not sure if that helps but its something people should know
