brightness not working

hello,
I can't adjust brightness using the keys (home) and (end) anymore.
It works if I right click on the video and goto options -> filters -> divx,
but that doesn't work well with a remote.
Everything is fine with divx 5.1 but if I use divx 5.1.1 or 5.2
the keys don't work.
by the way, I am using bsplayer 100.810 but older versions work too
is it a divx problem or a bug in bspalyer?
