Default editing subtitles disturbs clipping

I just started using the subtitle editor (great feature!), and noticed the following: after inserting a line, the subtitles on the rendering window (starting with the added line) get clipped, so only part of the subtitle line is visible. Saving and reloading the file (I drag-drop to do that) seems to help, but after a while, there are too many loaded files, and more problems occur, like subtitles don't get highlighted in the editor (I'm not sure of this last statement though, it was late at night!).

Also simply editing an existing subtitle line, not only inserting a line in the subs editor, can cause the effect I mentioned: the clipping rectangle for the subtitles gets reduced, making most of the sub invisible.
