HELP!! I dont know how to play xvid.knark.sub as subtitles..

I have an *.avi movie that was extracted from winrar and it a has a vobsub archive from which to view the subtitles but i cant make it work. I have tried other subtitles files and they work perferctly.

I DONT GET IT.

by the way the file im trying to use as a subtitle is:
yojimbo.1961. xvid.knark.sub

ps. im not very computer language literate...sorry im a dork.

You have to download DirectVobSub in order to view this .sub file.

i did dl vobsub...still nothing....and i have both sub/movie as the same name.

i tried opening the file with note pad and got scrambled letters..


im hopeless...

correctin..i finally read i have to use subrip...

i used it and i got the part where u have to tell teh program what teh letters aer but on some cased i dont know what to tell it...

ex. ae, ry, rt, ...grouped letters

help??!!
