Can't display subtitles

Heya..

I'm trying to play a french movie with english subtitles but somehow i can't seem to load them...

the movie is an *.avi file and i have a *.srt file for the subtitles.

am i supposed to have other files as well to enable the subtitles to load? and is there a way i can upload them?

Hey divinesummerbliss!

Actually you only need the .srt file to load the subtitles. If you can't load teh subtitles in BSPlayer, try to use the same name for .srt and .avi files and also put them in the same folder.

That's how i'm using my subtitles and don't even have to load them i only start the movies and the subtitles are loaded automaticaly.

I have a folder named "Dowloads" inside it I have some The OC episodes (same name for movie and subtitle):

The OC - 2x01 - The Distance.avi
The OC - 2x01 - The Distance.srt
