Edges get cropped in fullscreen-- help please

I love this player!

It does have one quirk that bugs me. When I watch a letterbox video in fullscreen on my Inspiron 6000 widescreen display, the edges are cut off. I notice this because when the Divx logo pops up, it's partially offscreen.

I saw a similar thread on the forum, but it produced annoying results. Sorry if this question is asked often.

Pan-Scan enabled?

Okay I just set pan-scan to auto, is that what you mean? That appears to properly fix the screen size so that I get black bars at top and bottom, instead of the sides getting chopped, which is preferable I think. Thank you.
