Grey screen when i play divx

I try to play a divx,but all i get is a grey screen.I hear that the movie is playing and i also have subtitles,but the screen is staying grey.
What could this be please ?

I think the codec-settings (brightness, contrast etc.) are a little off-scale. Try this: right-click in movie-window, then select your video codec ('DivX MPEG-4 DVD Video Decompressor' for example). In this new window, clik 'reset'. Things should be okay then. Good luck.
