Subtitles and ogm

I have an ogm video that I've played with BSPlayer 1.32 b820 and works fine, but it didn't show up the subtitles the video has (I proved to change position, font color,... but nothing happens) ; I used then BSPlayer 0.86 b501 and then I could show the subtitles. Why that?
