black screen

BSPlayer Pro 1.39.829. I open a divx file and get a black screen. Nothing plays. I have divx_pro 6.1, ffdshow_ffdshow-20051201 on my comp. MPClassic plays this file ok. How can I solve the problem?

Have you read BSPeter's "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING" post (in a particular way items (2) (3) and (4))?
Try to see if in the color controls the brightness is too low (right-click on BSplayer -> Video -> Color controls).
Otherwise try to change Video rendering mode (CTRL+P -> Video -> Video rendering).

But probably the problem lays in FFDShow.. Update your version here. Which filters are used by BSplayer to decode the video? (right-click -> Options -> Filters)

(2) - P. 2.60 VCard NVidia FX 5700 vivo (3) DivX 6.1 (4) Codec packs are not used. Color controls are default. I downloaded the latest ffdshow. But the problem persists. The odd thing, these movies played normally on 1.38

Have you tried to reinstall BSplayer v1.38/39?

From where did you downloaded Pro version?
Does this behaviour apply to all files or only to DivX6 ones?

Seems strange but reinstalling v. 1.38 helped. :) It plays avi, mpg, vob, mpv etc. I don't know why v.1.39 didn't function properly.
