Default Problem with german special characters in filenames

Hi,

BSPlayer doesn't load video files from playlists, if they contain german special characters (like 'Umlauts').
(ANSI codes: 0196 = ?„, 0228 = ?¤, 0214 = ?–, 0246 = ?¶, 0220 = ??, 0252 = ??, 0223 = ??; HTML Codes: &Auml, &auml, &Ouml, &ouml, &Uuml, &uuml, &szlig, everyone with a ; appended).

Is there a solution or is it just a bug?

MFG
Marcel

Hi JThawK,

mentioning automatical load, are you talking about loading the clip via command line parameter? This works fine for me, too. I've got this problem only within playlists. Did you test this?

---
Hab das Problem auch nur, wenn der Dateiname mit den Umlauten drin in einer Playliste steht.

Uh, found my error. I created the playlists via DOS command "dir", which creates the directory listing in ASCII. BSPlayer as a Windows application read it as ANSI.

I helped myself now by writing a small cute delphi app, which does nothing else than converting an ascii file to ansi.
Works fine.
