Default Problem with playing DVD files on hard drive

Hello everyone!

I opened an IFO file from my directory (hard drive), the dvd movie started but the image was very choppy. I read before in this forum that it might something to do with mpeg2 filters so I checked all of the mpeg2 filters I have on my PC and unregistered all (in bsplayer filter manager) one by one to see if there will be an improvement. Unfortunately the image was always choppy no mater what filter was used. This is the list of my mpeg2 filters_

- Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder (mpgdec.ax)
- Nero Video/DVD Decoder (NeVideo.ax)
- Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (CLVSD.ax)
- Nero Video Decoder HD (NeVideoHD.ax)

Funny thing is that my DVD files are played perfectly on my weaker PC, but on the one I use the most the image is always choppy, lately there are even crashes of bsplayer when I open an IFO file (DVD).

Any suggestions? Please help!

Best regards!

Yhe most im portant it's to tell us wich of them it's used when playing DVDs. So, open a DVD, rightclick->options->filters and post here the results. (FFDShow ?)

Elecard MPEG2 video decoder doesn't handle well by himself DVD playback. It makes a good team with Elecard MPEG2 video demultimplexer.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere :) . Problem is I have this Elecard mpeg2 demultiplexer already installed, if I check it in the bsplayer's filter manager I can see it there, just next to Elecard mpeg2 decoder. But when I check with the played back DVD file it's just not there (as you can see in the picture). So how do I make my bsplayer recognise and use this mpeg2 demultiplexer? I tried with re-registering option in the filter manager but nothing happens. Please help!

It is normal that MPEG-2 Demultiplexer is not used. During DVD playback "DVD Source" takes its place.
