Default .srt subtitle format no longer suported???

hey! i've noticed that with the 086 v. the srt file format doesn't work right anymore! what's the catch here?
I use greek subtitles for my movies (riped with SubRip) and i've noticed that the same file which works perfectly in a subviewer 2 format file displays crap when used as a srt file .. entire words are missing, letters are messed up in words, special greek characters are dispalyed in weird ASCII boxes and so on..Is this a bug or did you guys decided not to suport the srt format anymore? :?:
