What is the format of your external file? To play AC3 and DTS files in DirectShow you need dtsac3source installed.

Download: http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=84802

Google for "dtsac3source.ax regsvr32" to learn how to install the module.

Is it possible that BSPlayer will crash using 2 AC3 streams ? I have tested up to 2 internal with 1 external audio streams, but using only MP3 audio, not AC3.

http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13070

At this moment I don't have an external AC3 file, just DTS. Will do some test.

LE: tested, and NO, no problems.

I have no solutions for Vista, as I don't use it. That's the price you pay for choosing less popular system: many well known programs don't work anymore. There is no point of 64-bit unless you have 4 or more gigabytes of memory.

Adicoto :: AC-3 decoding using dtsac3source / ac3filter v1.01a is very stable and I never experience crashes.

@J7N Remember that I am a fan of dtsac3source and I recommend it when it's usefull.
The ideea was to play at the same time at least 2 different streams, AC3 or DTS. I also never experienced crashes, but to track down the problems, testing is a good way to go

As for Vista, at this moment, Vista XP64 SP1 it's the best OS in terms of stability, security and speed (if you can afford such hardware). I have some machines running it (but not with performance score under 5). The sole problem is that the file you downloaded it's for 32 bits and Vista didn't accepted. Let me find a 64 bit compilation and I will post it here. And..there is a new release of AC3Filter.

Testing external audio file if the filter is able to render a second audio stream

Don't, I am pretty sure you don't know what are you talking about. You stated earlier that you don't use it.
