packed x264 video file opening problem

I cannot open packed video files that contain x264 / .mp4 video file.. all others (avi,mpeg) can be viewed without unpacking , simply just by pressing .rar -file.. (not .r01 , .r02 etc)

Is this normal or is something wrong with my settings? it annoys to unpack files, couze I´m used to use bsplayer that is awesome and knows how to play video files without unpacking them
