ERROR: Always playing slow-motion and low pitch audio! Why?

bsplayer always plays videos in either slowmotion with low-pitch sound, or in normal speed without any sound at all. This is very frustrating, and I cant figure out what is wrong. I have now tried uninstalling and reinstalling completely several times, even trying a later beta-version of bsplayer to see if it was a version based issue, and now last night installed the latest full version I found, and still same problems. This have been going on for many weeks now, probably a couple months. It has forced me to use other videoplayer software and I would really prefer to use bsplayer.

Do ANYONE know what can be causing this and how to fix it? I was pondering upon codec issues, but I have not installed ANY other codecs than the ones bsplayer automatically downloads itself.

In a few cases, videos work fine with video speed and audio pitch correct, but the majority have either the mentioned issue with slow-motion and low-pitch, or normal speed and no sound.
