I would advise "Enhancer 0.17" WinAmp2 plugin to increase volume. Where to put it? In the folder you define yourselves as the "Winamp plugin directory". (rightclick) > Options > Preferences > Audio > Winamp2 DSP plugins (Note: blue doesn't apply for version 0.86) Do not forget to also select "Enable Winamp DSP plugins"
