KnightRT is an unknown quantity at this point
Default BSPlayer won't play anything at all

I've recently had a problem with the latest version of BSPlayer. If I try to open any movie file, it stops responding, and I have to close the process in task manager. File size and format don't seem to matter; locks just as easily with 1.5 MB AVIs as it does with 700 MB MPEGS.

Every other player works fine; VideoLAN, MPlayer Classic, and the like.

I've uninstalled all codec packs, cleaned the registry, and messed with every setting I thought may have helped, but it still doesn't work.

Any thoughts?

KRT

Try to uninstall/reinstall BSplayer and maybe also the original codecs (only those you really need!).
For MPEG files I suggest you to use Elecard MPEG decoder.
