.Mkv file and subtitles I need some help here, i have looked over the forums and haven't been able to find any help to my problem. I'm trying to watch a movie in .Mkv format on BS Player v1.41 Build 832 but i get no subtitles, i get subtitles fine if i play it in Windows Media Player. I have Matroska Pack - v1.1.2 & OggDS - v0.9.95 installed, i get subtitles fine on .Ogg files but i just cant get them on .Mkv files in BS player. Hope you can help me. |

OggDS - v0.9.9.5 is good, but if you have problems with matroska pack, then try to use this other matroska splitter instead. There are problems with Haali, and the matroska splitter you used has haali splitter in it..

You have only to register the filters: 1. Click on Start and then Run... 2. Type regsvr32 FILE_PATH\MatroskaSplitter.ax where FILE_PATH is the folder where the file is placed (i.e.: C:\WINDOWS\System32\MatroskaSplitter.ax) If you want to uninstall the filter: 1. Click on Start and then Run... 2. Type regsvr32 -u FILE_PATH\MatroskaSplitter.ax The MatroskaSplitter.ax file contained in the Release Unicode dir should be compiled for WinXP systems, whereas the one in the Release one should be compiled for Win9.x systems

That didn't do any good! I uninstalled the pack i had on and registred the file and you said and the movie ran ok, but i couldn't jump in the movie and there still weren't any subtitles. So i just made things a little worse! |

Sorry :( Then unregister the previous filter and reinstall the matroska pack. I hope that in next releases subtitles in mkv containers will be handled in a better way

Can you tell please which filters are used by BSplayer to decode your videos with and without subtitles? (right-click -> Options -> Filters -> Advanced)

[v1.36] I confirm Gabest's Matroska splitter is working fine providing BSPlayer with text subtitles which can be turned on and off. Seeking is also working properly. Maybe the not-working files have graphical subtitles muxed directly from DVDs? MkvToolNix/MMG will tell you the types of streams a MKV has. |

You are probably using klite codec pack or somthing like that so you must set up ffdshow to display subtitle , play .mkv go to options -> filters -> ffdshow video decoder -> and enable subtitle by Checkking the box This shuld work at last problerm is in setings for video decoder even if it isnt ffdshow but some other just check setings concept is the same |
