sorry for my languege
to play movie in bsplayer 2.0 in windows vista :
1 : rightclick icon bsplayer .
2 : properties > compatibilty .
3: check run this program in compatibilty mode for :
and check winxp sp2.
4: check disable desktop composition .
5 : ok .

and open file ...

I played movies with BSplayer without setting compatibility mode :?
Just changed rendering mode and then re-setted back the default one and everythig works fine

My screensaver is disabled, I prefer to use power saving functions. Never had such a problem under XP Profesional, but today, when waching a video file, just got with my monitor preparing to shut down.
Vista Ultimate, latest BSPlayer PRO, XviD decoder, latest ATI drivers for Vista, internal direct draw renderer.

It seems you need an application to keep your Windows awake :D

Indeed, if this happened in Vista, it has to be common. But stupid behavour of Vista, that's why Microsoft is not a good beta tester company in my opinion.
