I am using Haali splitter.I have this problem too with external subtitles (embedded mkv subs don't work at all) and only in BSPlayer.

I have this problem too and can't figure out a way to fix it. It seems I have tried everything. I can't believe a commercial player has such flaws.

I'm switching to MPC.
