Hmmm .... :?: (both above quotes sound rather similar to me)
In other words: BSPlayer-users should EITHER opt for the "ffdshow-route" (which I often advise for older/slower systems, mostly in combination with BSPlayer 0.86 version) OR for the route of installing individual codecs.
Again, for playing .srt subtitles BSPlayer does not need DVobsub (nor ffdshow) as it can handle .srt-subtitles natively (which, however, does not mean that BSPlayer and Vobsub cannot be used together).
Perhaps bluedan could explain zxmon21 how to e.g. disable subtitle capability of ffdshow (which - as mentioned in my earlier post - I personally do not use) to avoid problems like double subtitles when the combination of BSPlayer and ffdshow (and perhaps also DVobsub) is used.
I think zxmon21 would really appreciate that, if he/she chooses to go for ffdshow.
