Don't you think it isn't a bit all too easy to steal the code of an existant player, which has been developped by a dedicated creator (Boris Voglar and his team) over many many years, then simply change that code a bit so here and there, for the ultimate "honour" to make a 'new' player (probably under your own name) available to the public for free. Now, if you really put so much energy 
and work 
into making "your creation", then you really must be a benefactor to humanity (or is a better and more appropriate expression for such acting perhaps "a common thief")?
