Unfortunately there is no ready provision for that. However, there is a workaround. You can of course hide the player itself (from the menu or by the usual
_ button) but you can also minimize the "videoscreen" by hand taking the screen at the right bottom corner (diagonal two-way arrow). This minimized "videoscreen" can be so small, that you can place it behind the task-bar, so that it is out of sight entirely.
