Default [FIXED] bsplayer has a problem maintain files association

i`m using version bsplayer pro 2.57 1051 , it has a problem with file association ,if i put it to keep all video files when i start it it's not working,if i put winamp to restore file association on start it's working,i think the file association must be improved,as if winamp steal association on start bsplayer can't restore them, you will see them unselected if you start bsplayer and it will not restore the,i think this is a very important and stupid bug.

Default

My Settings
---------------

set WinAmp for audio files only:
1. Options -> Preferences -> File Types -> check the "Audio Only".
2. in the File Type list -> remove the selection from "MP4".

set BS.Player for video files only:
1. Options -> Preferences -> File Types -> press "Select" -> choose "Select none".
2. Options -> Preferences -> File Types -> press "Select" -> choose "Select Video types".
3. Options -> Preferences -> File Types -> under Associated protocols choose "MMS".
4. Options -> Preferences -> File Types -> choose "Register extensions on player start"

* one more thing -> never EVER open WMP or the stupid thing will steal the file types !!!

Well, a similar bug exists. BSplayer keeps stealing file associations whenever a new version is installed. Particularly, it doesn't remember which files were associated with it prior the update and it registers all extensions on player start.

When (re)installing, do you perhaps leave installation/setup defaults without unchecking/deselecting certain options (like "Associate ...")?

Yes, indeed...
However, it should remember its file associations and not re-associate all files with it.
That would be better.

Well, I would say, then simply deselect this box when (re)installing. I expect BS.Player will then only be associated to those file-types which you previously selected. At least that's my experience (and it also sounds logical to me).

Yes, it works like this - if you deselect 'Associate with' box, then the installation leaves your filetype associations as they were in previous version.
