(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Video > [OSD Options] Select/check the box(es) of your preference.

Just click on the lapsed time until you see elapsed/total time You can also visualize the information as an OSD, but probably you have to configure it the way you prefer (press "i" keyboard button to visualize it) To change the displayed information: CTRL+P -> Video -> OSD options -> select the options you prefer EDIT: Oops, Peter has been faster than me :)
