My wishlist for BSPlayer for Android Great App! Almost perfect... :) Here's my wishlist: 1. More options for 'Action on double tap' config. Here's the list how I see it: - None - Show/hide controls - Play/Pause - Cycle aspect ratios - Seek forward - Seek backward 2. Ability to configure single tap, with the same list as for double tap 3. Seek forward/seek backward control buttons 4. Ability to enable/disable: swipe to adjust brightness, swipe to adjust volume, swipe left/right 5. Ads-free, payed version 6. Support for external keyboard. Left/right arrow for seeking, up/down arrow for volume. Thanks and keep up the good work... :) Last edited by nowotny; 27th May 2012 at 05:59 PM. |

1-2, 4, and 5: agree! I also have another suggestion regarding the seeking by swipe. Rather than a set time for each single swipe, can you make more like dragging the seek bar in the controls. Except that you will have a set time that one screen-width will seek, but it will seek depending on how much you move your finger, and in real time. It's actually quite hard to describe. If you check out Diceplayer, they have it setup this way, and I believe it is a *much* better way of doing it. However, they have major issues with sound (particularly DTS) that BSplayer doesn't, so I can't use that one. I hope ya'll will consider implementing this manner of seek by swipe.

Please, improve subtitles support: 1. Add a font shadow. It is necessary, or text merge with background whith any font colour. 2. Full support of ssa-subtitles (SubStation Alpha - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) - parse not only text, but it's style and position. Whatever, thank you for great job! |

DLNA and SSA improvements are in queue.

I have now been using BSPlayer as my player of choice on my dedicated media playing ICS HD device. There are 2 things stopping me from buying the paid app: 1) When playing through the files in a folder (e.g. episodes in a series) the zoom full screen selection is not remembered between files and at the start of each playback has to be reimposed. Tiresome! 2) MP4 and MKV file playback is unusable. This may be a codec issue and if anyone knows how I could possibly improve this I would be very grateful to hear. At present, I am having to quit playback and use one of MXPlayer or the native Video Player app to view these files, in which case they play perfectly, which also tells me that maybe I do have the right codec and BSplayer is the source of the problem. Other than that - a wonderful and truly usable app. Thanks! |

Please condsider adding this feature: 1. Option to change subtitlbe position on screen, so that subtitles can be show either on the top or on the bottom of the screen depending on the viewer's preference. 2. Function to resume play back in the previous session. e.g. I stopped playing file "aa.mkv" after playing the file for 2min 30sec, using German as subtitle. The next time I started playing back "aa.mkv", the playing back should start from 2:30 and uses German subtitles as default. If possible, this functioin should also work for the "Lan Mode" Thanks for this great app. Last edited by appappgeek; 1st August 2012 at 04:36 AM. |

I agree that full support for SSA/ASS should be included. MXPlayer supports full ass support however it is not hardware accelerated which means my 1080p videos are jumpy as heck. On BSPlayer it works great but ASS support is lacking. If you can get that up to par that would be great. (^_^) EDIT: I see that it's on the roadmap to be worked. I was reading the thread in the wrong order. :p (I'm used to oldest to newest ordering scheme) |
