OK, after testing several old versions, all of them still had that problem, so it became clear to me that something was broken in my Windows, and it wasn't BSplayer's fault. And I've just found the solution:
I checked the file types configuration, and in the .AVI I saw the DDE was enabled, and it seemed to be configured for ZPLAYER (Zoom player, I use it for .OGMs because it's more compatible with VobSub). I just disabled DDE and now the bug is gone.
Perhaps BSplayer should disable DDE for itself when registering the extensions?
