BSPeter is on a distinguished road
Default

Is "Use DivX 4 decoder for ..etc.." selected on "Video"-tab of "Options"/"Preferences"? If not, please try.

vivalostioz is an unknown quantity at this point
Default bsplayer bug

I have the same problems with divx compressed avi files.
But it is BSPlayers fault. Any other players like Winamp or even WM Player
work. The problem is that BSPlayer does not check the codec when opening an avi file and so doesn't use the divx decoder. When i rename that files from .avi to .divx BSPlayer opens them without any problem. So i hope, this bug will be fixed in the next version.
