Funny problem with mkv file

Hi,

I would like to apologise if i annoy anyone but i have this problem with mkv files.

You see, the file or video plays perfectly, but when the subtitles appear, they came with a black background covering more than half of the screen, and the subtitles are in fragments. (You see only parts of the sub, not complete sentences.)

Can anyone be kind enough to help me with this problem?
