bs player doesn't work

i just installed bs player but it refuses to open any video file and it doesn't say why. how can i find out what is the problem and fix it?

Since you posted here in bug section, have you read the stickied topic "PLEASE READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING !!" first?
You'll be surely able to find the solution to your problem there (check codecs required with GSpot or similar, install the proper codecs, maybe FFDShow, stay away from codec packs, etc.)
