[VISTA] Blurry subtitles I've been looking for a solution for a while now, but I didn't found any so I hope you guys can help me out. Since I installed Vista the BSPlayer subtitles look blurry and just not as good as the subtitles were in XP. I tried some options but none of them changed the subtitles to a way I liked them. Here are 2 screenshots to explain the problem: XP: http://users.telenet.be/azkme/pics/test.jpg - Nice, normal subtitles Vista: http://users.telenet.be/azkme/pics/test2.jpg - Not that smooth, looks like a CAM or a TS subtitle, if you make them smaller the quality is even worse (I can barely read the subtitles when they have size 12 or less). With the same options, the Vista subtitles look bolder, blurrier and much "into" the movie than the XP ones. Someone who knows why and/or knows a solution so I can enjoy my movies back? :) Thanks in advance! |

1. Go to options->preferences->subtitle and disable "resize OSD and subtitle font automatically" 2. Wich rendering method it's used options->preferences->video, the right hand label "video rendering" Does swiching this tu EVR or VMR9 does change the quality ? |

There is a workaround. Give up BS.Player and use ffdshow in combination with another player. If you have fast enough computer, you can resample the image in software and get this perfect quality. http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/1...ab06713cp8.jpg |

If you have a good machine, in Vista the video rendering option (Options - Preferences - Video - Video Rendering - Rendering Mode) will be set on EVR (Enhanced Video Renderer) and this causes BS Player to work in Aero mode, so the subtitles are crapy and you can't set them below 0 on position offset. When i chose "Internal Renderer Overlay (default)" the subtitles were like in XP and you can position them whereever you want, but the BS Player doesn't work in Aero mode anymore. P.S. When i selected "Internal Renderer DirectDraw surface" Bs Player worked in aero mode and the subtitles were like in XP but some times it stops working in 2 seconds after opening a movie. Hope this helps. Good luck. |
