Default [FIXED] M4A / MP4 file extension problem

Step 1. Just downloaded an .m4a file. BSPlayer failed to play the file and requiered for a codec. Found Haali and FFDshow. Neither of this one is my prefered, so I've closed the codec manager window. File won't play. So, tested with MPC (wich use the very same codecs/filters I have installed on my computers). File play OK.
Step 2. Renamed the file as MP4. File play ok in BSPlayer, using, as normally should do, Gabest MP4 splitter and CoreAAC audio decoder.

Codec management problem ? Or the extension just mixed up BSPlayer's capabilities ? But even after adding M4A as extension in BSplayer's preferencies, the file failed to play using this extension.

Default BS.Player free codecs

Regarding m4a file, can you give us a sample?

Generally speaking do use Codec manager to install any missing codecs. BS.Player Codec manager will install and use these codecs only locally, meaning they won't interfere with the rest of your system installed codecs in use with other programs.

As long as BSPlayer codec manager say I must install Haali and ffdshow to play a file that can be played without those filters (or any others that those I allready have), I won't install them. And, besides that, I prefer Gabest and Core.
Should this suggestion be regarded that BSPlayer will be developped to match Haali and ffdshow ?
