suggest for subtitle size fonts
I have problem with OSD size too.
I would like to suggest to implant small list where will be add fonts size for every media type or something similar. Please take this in consideration if this is not fixed.
I believe that not movie container it's important but video resolution. Most of the MKVs are HD and probably a 1280x720 resolution, while AVI are still old fashioned and ar erelated to normal def of about 640x360. That's why subtitles doesn't show the same. But there is an option to adjust the font size in options->preferences->subtitles

When posting always mention your computer's OS and the version and build number(!) of BS.Player as used by you,
as well as - if applicable and especially when encountering problems - the type(s) of the file(s) mentioned in your post.
Private messages/Visitor messages are NOT for seeking personal help with respect to BS.Player! Instead use the forums!
Custom font size for each resolution setting will be added in new beta.
