 vertical stripes Im trying to play various films and they all seem to have a vertical stripe/band of a bright maganta colour running north to south on the screen.....often with another stripe made of smaller horizontal stripes on the right hand side of the screen. both of these take up about 15% of the screen...........and I wish I knew how to get rid of them. Running XP here ( hope you understand this) and thanks in advance for your help beachcaster  |

With which type(s) of films (mpeg/avi) does this occur? Did you try different settings? E.g. if mpeg and you are using overlay mode 1 (in "Options"/"Preferences"/"Video)", try what changing to mode 2 results into?
