Solution 1:
Install DivX 5.11. Open configuration settings and enable "Support generic MPEG4"

http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=3042

Solution 2:
Search on the net for DivX 3.11 alpha and install.

Solution 1:
Download from a specialized site a subtitle in your language. See BSPeter's Help for help post concerning subtitles sites.

http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=2607

Solution 2:
Chek if you don't have 2 audio streams on the file. YOu mai have the right one too. Rightclick->audio->audio streams->stream 3 or 4 or 5

Solution 3:
Download another copy of the file from internet. :D YOu may end up with the one you want.

Is there any way to get xvid to play div3 files? under my xvid settings, fourCC support is ticked for divx, dx50, and mp4v

I know it will work if I install divx. but I would just prefer to have as little codecs installed on my PC as possible. Or if you can suggest a way that would allow divx to play xvids that would be ok as well.

Thanks

Read item (4) (the part following "DivX-codec and AC3-Filter") of my Help2Help-post.

P.S.: I don't use DivX6 but DivX5.2.1; think I've read somewhere that DivX6 doesn't support this anymore??
