Default Playback files that are currently in creation.

Can BSPlayer playback files that are in creation at the same moment? (for example when a tv-program is being recorded with a tv-card (with hardware encoder))
In this way, one can watch timeshift.

If not, can this be done in a next release?

Greetings,
Ronnie

In options->preferences->general, enable "open locked media (file in use)"=the one at the bottom

Thanks adicoto for your quick response!

In connection with you answer, I decided to give BSplayer a try.
After a struggle (BSplayer doesn't work with the Cyberlink (PowerDVD) decoder, and shuts itself down when starting an mpg2 file)(then I used the Intervideo decoder by increasing the merit with the build in "merit editter"), everything worked fine.

Indeed the player can playback files that are still in creation! :P
However the player stops when the navigation-slider reaches the end. :( (unlike Windows Mediaplayer when playing a mp3 file, wich is still downloading)(unfortunately Windows Media Player can't do this with mpeg or other video files)
So you have to restart the mpg file again, and go to the last viewed scene. (this keeps on going, and is worst if there is a small time-difference)
Unfortunately BSplayer can't playback a "pause file" (a file wich is being in creation at the moment, but that has already a predefined size)(when stopping the recording, it gets the correct size)

So this is a request to the developpers:
Can you prevent the player from stopping, when the navigation-slider reaches the end?

ps: For what I,ve seen so far: great player! with many options and settings!

Edit:
The Cyberlink decoder only doesn't work with "overlay mode 1".
With "overlay mode 2", it works just fine.

Maybe try new BSPlayer version 1.30 (build 818) (20 Jun 2005); just released!
Info at news-page:
"files that are still recording or downloading will now be reopened at the end, so playback will continue"
