BSPeter is on a distinguished road
Default

Read under item (b) ("I wish to capture screens, but ... ") nearing the bottom of my Help2Help-post.
(You can pause using pause-button on skin or e.g. using Spacebar)

Default Frame by frame with the arrow keys Left Right

:!:
Press pause. Use right arrow key to move forward one frame.
Left key to move back one frame.
I notice that you can only move back to the place where you pressed the pause button.
If you want to move back further ie., jump back - press the
comma , key.
It jumps you back to whatever amount that you preset in the "jump this much" box in the preferences setting menu. (I think the default is 8 seconds. I reset my time to 1 second).
The period . key moves jumps you forward the same amount.
