Default overlay failed problem

l tried to play a Xvid encoded movie with ac3 sound, in the bsplayer 0.86 with the 2005 verson of ffdshow, l always get the error of overlay failed in overlay mode 1 and 2, when l tried to olay it in 256 color with 640x480 resolution, it tells me "Overlay failed. Display harware is not capable of color-space conversions. Switching to RGB" in mode 1, but in mode 2, it says display harware is not capable of something else and tells me to update its driver, l did updated the graphics card driver, but nothing is changed, if l use the force RGB mode instead, the video is much slower than the sound of normal speed, so what is the problem? does the display hardware mean my monitor instead of the graphics card? l read that wmp 9 may cause this problem, is this true? l did install wmp 9 in windows ME, so how to solve this problem if it is true? is there any way to uninstall wmp 9? help.....

here is my stats of my notebook:

adicoto is on a distinguished road

Your video card is good enough to use color space conversion.
My advices:
- try to lower desktop resolution
- try to upgrade to BSPlayer 1.36 (buld 824)
- try to use RGB overlay
- see in FFDshow options if it uses YUY2.
- try to use DivX and XviD decoders instead of FFDshow
