"Disable embedded subtitles" isn't checked/selected by any chance? (under rightclick > Options > Preferences > Subtitles [Subtitle properties]) P.S.: (1) Are you using old or new subtitle engine? (same BS.Player window as above) (2) Actually version 2.57 build 1045beta is the most recent at present.

Should I do something in the filter section? I noticed MPC-HC is not using any filter for subtitles, besides ffdshow for video/audio and VMR9-renderless (also tried to change BSP from the default renderer to VMR-9 but it makes no difference either). I think it must be some internal filter built in the player that is missing, or BSP never had. Even so, how may we use another filter for subtitles (the one MPC/VLC is using)? |

Just a wild idea: is "Allow intermediate filters" and "Enable advanced graph building" selected/checked under (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Filter management [General] ? Also verify Preferences-settings of Subtitles [Subtitle properties] and [VobSub]-tags. What OS do you use and what rendering mode is selected?

Just downloaded a file with 4 subtitles included. No problems here (except for the fact that if you change subtitles "on the fly" the new subtitle won't show for the next 3-4 lines. After, is OK. I am using Gabest MKV splitter (same as MPC). It is the filter that detects the streams (audio, video, subtitles) in a video file and splits them each to it's own decoding filter Could you post here all the filters used to play your files ( options -> filters -> advanced) ? Is it Haali under the "Matroska splitter" field ? Could you also send us a link to a small file with CC subtitles included ? Never had one to test. |

I am using XP SP3 and the rendering mode was Internal renderer overlay (default). Tried to change to VMR-7 and 9 renderless but nothing seems to make this work... adicoto: I can't send to you now (don't have the file anymore), but I tried another Matroska now. This one is a featurette (which is probably in MPEG-2 format, it's a 480p video from the BD). This one features portuguese/spanish (normal) subtitles. Some screens to help you out: P.S. I recorded a video with my settings, please download and check: Download RVCap[15].mpg, upload your files and earn money. Last edited by Womanizer; 26th October 2010 at 03:50 PM. |
