Subtitles in mkv files nearly never work

See the subject line, quite a lot of mkv files here in which the subs are not displayed, no problems concerning this in VLC, KMPlayer etc., this is not very convincing

I have similar problem with embedded subtitles with Format : PGS. Please help. For example in media player classic working without problems. I try new and also old subtitle retender and various combinations.

Same here. VLC works fine.

Same here. It seems that i can do nothing to make the subtitles to show. They work on any other player though...
