BS Player 2.50 1017 takes long time to load and open movie files

I recently installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I installed the Free version of BS Player 2.50 1017. When I open the program, the bs player window appears but doesn't respond for about 5 to 10 seconds. If I move my mouse over the windows, the hourglass spins. The same thing happens if I try to open a movie file directly.

I use Kaspersky Antivirus 2010, and I already added the BS Player.exe to the exclusion list.

I have no idea what is going on can anybody help me?

When I used BS Player on Vista 32 bit, everything was perfect.

I installed version 2.34 (which is the version I used with Vista) and the same thing happens.

I have an AMD Athlon 7850 Dual-Core 2.8 GHz
4.0 GB RAM
