 color control (brightness) rarely working  |

I have the same problem which is very irritating! I must correct the brightness every time I play a movie. The checkbox remember settings doesn't do anything and the defaults settings aren't loading automatically.  |

saves when using "Remember Movie settings" from "General"-tab of "Preferences". Have a look at the contents of bsplay.sav (open it with Notepad) and you will be able to figure out which settings are saved and which aren't.

OK HackerWerger, I unfortunately couldn't know that, as there are more "remember settings" boxes than only that particular one. What's more, I didn't realize that you were using a pre "Build 501, 5 Sep. 2003"-version, against which I checked your post and which did work fine for me. Anyway, I'm glad that your problem is solved now. :lol: By the way HackerWerger, I took the liberty of linking to your "unofficial FAQ"-page in item 4 of my "Help to Help"-post (click on link below). I trust you do not mind!

I have to pick up the issue again: the remember settings checkbox under HW colour control does not make the player remember. I confirm I have to reset adjustments everytime I play a movie. I'm talking about "final" 501 version

Simple stupid question, dudes. Why don't use the HW overlay control, witch both nVidia and ATI drivers have...? I never then need bother with these BSplayer settings. Frankly, i don't know for 3 years, that BSplayer have these options and i using the player daily 8)
