Default Run time error after burning a AVI file

Hope Iam posting this in the right place.

Here i go...

I downloaded an avi file and it plays fine on the hard disk but after burning the file to cd using nero 6 and Ez cd 5, it gives run time errors when i use (ms) media player 6.4 and unhandled exception when i use bsplayer v0.86.499 and v1.00.800. Here's the error message i get from both version:

BSPlayer v0.86.499, Unhandled exception at EIP: 77E73887

I've used AVIPreview and it seem to be able to play the file but you can't use the search bar and it take 20 mins to load. On another note zoom player gives the same error external exception code "E06D7363".

Enough from me have a good day!

Seems more a cd problem than a BSPlayer one. If npne of the players can't play the file, it is the file problem. AVIpreview is designed to open this kind of files, partialy downloaded and with an missing index. This is why it loads so slow the file. Try to do a surface scan on the cd and maybe a file verification.

There's nothing wrong with the CD file just checked and the sfv file match up as well also i tryed to re-index the file using divfix 1.08 but still the same problem only this time the picture got screwie when i play it back on CD.

Side note for the de-buggers the file will play if i drag if from CD to the hard drive, It just won't play from cd :(

Anyway can't complain bsplayer is free so i can live with the one cd not beening able to play

educarrega

If your cd has a sub title file (srt,sub...etc) remove it or make a new folder and move the sub file in it and burn again. it looks like the sub codec was crashing as it was trying to load the movie and the sub file at the same time.

I don't know if it'll works for you or not but it did for me

Observed that you're using build 804 and not 805 as mentioned by you in your post.

Shiet, this is happening with me too.
It's not a BSPlayer problem. It is maybe the .srt
When I copy the video from the CD burned It play normaly.
Then I think that is maybe a problem with the DirectVobSub..
Let me see...
I put "Hide subtitles" in "DirectVobSub Configure" and surprise! I can listen the filme now!
